First Medieval House Modeling

After i finished my first year at university i was fond of modeling Medieval houses and theme.
It was my 6th month to use Maya and i tried to model my first House in Medieval. I really didn't knew anything about texturing at that time, so i only UV it and left it behind, so when i could know a bit more about texturing i could colorize it.

University Assignments (part 2)

First Year Student at University of Derby.
All these works were created with hand painting textures.
The Spell book was fully made with my own textures only except symbols on the edges.
The Symbol in the middle was copied from Ultima Online Spell books.
Creating a crate and making hand textures was the first task on my first year of second semester. As i did lot of online tutorials it helped me a lot how to create it. By that time i did not had my Wacom Tablet so the crate texture was made with mouse.

This Door was a part of a huge house we were given so that we could texture it without using any textures from the internet especially from cgtextures.
Cottage was given without textures but with already made UV. We were allowed to textures taken from photos we made (it was optional). I used some only for rocks and roof tile.

University Assignments (part 1)

First year student at University of Derby.
One of the main assignments was to create a lowpoly vehicle with 6000 polys limit.
We had to go outside and start shooting photos of Construction vehicles only. It took me 12 weeks to finish and texture the vehicle. From where 2 weeks were given to get reference with textures as well.

This was my first ever failed hand painted texture. It was a disaster i would say. I really did not knew how to create textures and it was a first ever experience for me.
After some time spending time to create something much much more beautifuler, i spend 3 weeks learning online how to make something look realistic.

I remembered that we were taking texture photo references as well, so as it was said in one of the online tutorials i needed to play with the photo reference and create textures, which was way better than i tried to create on my own.
